‘Team Arundel’ volunteers celebrated their 2022 successes and looked forward to the exciting 2023 event programme at a drinks reception at the Town Hall last week.

‘Team Arundel’ – a joint initiative by Arundel Festival of the Arts and Arundel Town Council – brings together volunteers with a huge range of skills and experience. Together, they help to plan and deliver the town’s varied events and initiatives, such as the Arundel Festival of the Arts, Arundel at Christmas and the Arundel Farmers Market, as well as supporting civic events such as Remembrance Sunday and the work of Council Working Groups. All while having fun and making new friendships!

One of the first major events in the 2023 calendar is the town’s celebrations for the Coronation of King Charles III, which will include a Community Procession, Thanksgiving Service and Community Picnic on Sunday 7 May and a Coronation Coffee Morning and dedication of 3 Rowan trees on Sunday 8 May.

The Palace’s aim is to create a lasting volunteering legacy from the Coronation Weekend and Team Arundel’s input into last year’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations provides the perfect platform to build on in 2023.

This year’s Arundel Festival of the Arts runs from 18-28 August and will feature an exciting mix of visual and performing arts, music, street and family entertainment, food and drink, and much more!

Whether you give an hour, a day, help with a one-off project or offer your time for a regular commitment, the enthusiasm and support from being a ‘Team Arundel’ volunteer makes all the difference!
