The Environment Agency have served notice that they will be completing landward and river side surveys for the Tarrant Wharf River Wall Repair scheme from the 4th of April 2022. This scheme will involve improvements to the most vulnerable section of the river defences at Tarrant Wharf, Arundel.
They require the car park to be used as a compound while carrying out this work. Two thirds of the car park will be used but in order for the compound to be set up, it is likely that the whole car park will be closed on the 4th April.
Seasonal permit holders who use this car park will be permitted to park in Crown Yard car park Arundel during this closure. A letter has been sent to all permit holders informing them of this closure and the alternative arrangement for parking. Signs has also been placed in the car park.
