Make Ford Road Safe launches its final push for signatures in favour of building a safe walking and cycle pathway between Arundel and Ford.
The final push is happening ahead of a plan to present the petition to the leaders of Arun District and West Sussex Councils in late September.
The Campaign continues to make good progress. Consultants are now preparing a business case as part of an application to Highways England for a Detailed Design to be carried out showing exactly where the path can run, what the specification will be and estimate the cost for the full project. It is hoped the Detailed Design will take place during 2022.
In another development, the landowners along the route have also agreed to support the initiative.
