A big thank you to the volunteers who turned out for our Spring Community Clean up morning on Saturday 23 March, or gave up their time to do their own litter pick in their area of the town during this year’s Keep Britain Tidy week.

Between them, our volunteers filled 29 rubbish bags across key areas of the town and let us know of many more heavy or unreachable items that have now been reported to Arun District Council‘s cleansing team.

The most unusual find at this Spring’s litter pick as judged by the Deputy Mayor was a complete toilet suite, dumped on the verge in London Road. The finder wins a £10 book token to spend at The Book Ferret as a thank you.

Some of our younger volunteers were also going to do litter picking in the woods over the Easter holidays – a big thank you to them for being such amazing #LitterHeroes!

They have also suggested that we add the town’s wooded areas to our list to tackle on our Autumn Clean Up day. If anyone would like to help facilitate this then please get in touch with the Town Council townevents@arundeltowncouncil.gov.uk
