Community Awards

With the easing of Covid restrictions, Mayor Tony Hunt has been out and about presenting the last of the Community Award certificates. This included visiting Furzefield Scout campsite to present an award to Brown Owl, Rachel Stanford, who kept weekly meetings for the Rainbows and Brownies going throughout the lockdown. “This was a great achievement, and parents have spoken about the enormous benefits to the girls’ morale that resulted from having these weekly meetings to look forward to” Tony comments.
