Last year, Arundel Town Council declared a climate emergency in Arundel. Since then we have been engaging with other organisations to reduce the causes of climate change through a number of small steps such as:
- Working with the Chamber of Commerce to reduce waste in the town and encourage recycling of disposable coffee cups
- Supporting the development of the Repair Café Arundel to encourage people to re-use and repair where possible rather than send broken items to landfill.
- Lobbying Arun District Council for recycling bins to be installed in the town.
Our next ‘small step’ is a competition to find the best ideas for tackling the causes of climate change that can be implemented in and around Arundel. Sponsored by the Council’s Environment Working Group, you could receive a grant to implement your idea as well as support with applications for further funding, if required.
See below for more information about the competition and an entry form – why not join our Public Meeting on Tuesday 27 September 2022 at 6.30pm in the Town Hall to kickstart your idea.
The closing date for entries is 19 February 2023.
