The Council are aware of some speculation, particularly on social media, re. the removal of the bench on Mill Road by the new pollinators garden. We wish to inform all residents that the bench is being replaced with two new benches, one being a memorial bench, arranged in a back-to-back style for those wanting to look out towards the museum and for anyone wanting to enjoy views of the new pollinators garden.
The Council had planned to install the replacement benches as soon as the old one was removed but due to COVID-19 related issues there has been a delay in us receiving the replacement benches.
We will endeavour to install the new benches next week.
