Despite the restrictions that the Covid-19 pandemic has brought, the Arundel Farmers Market has gone from strength to strength in 2021 with more than 50 stalls selling a huge variety of local produce.

The Farmers Market runs on the third Saturday of each month, with the first market of 2022 taking place on 15 January.

Please note that on market days the lower High Street will be closed from the Norfolk Arms to Sims Williams (southbound) and from the Swan Hotel to the junction with Tarrant Street (northbound) between the hours of 06.00am – 15.30pm.

No vehicular access will be permitted whilst the above closures are in place, except for emergency vehicles. There is a legal requirement to ensure access is maintained for emergency vehicles during a road closure and so we would kindly request that residents do not leave their cars in the bays overnight around the Town Square, opposite the Swan Hotel or outside McColl’s Newsagent. These bays are not in use on market days for the duration of the road closure (06:00-15:30) for this reason, and also for the safety of traders, volunteers and visitors during the market set up and operation.

Arundel Farmers Market is only possible thanks to the amazing people who work behind the scenes and on the day to make the market a success. If you are able to volunteer a few hours to help or marshal at any of the markets in 2022, please contact the Town Events Manager at the Town Hall on townevents@arundeltowncouncil.gov.uk

Thank you in advance for your support of the Arundel Farmers Market in 2022.

A full letter that is being circulated to residents and businesses who may be affected by the road closures can be found HERE.
