Impact on train service
- The works will mean that no trains can run on the Arun Valley line between Three Bridges and Barnham via Horsham and Arundel, nor on the line between Dorking and Horsham.
- Replacement buses will run between Littlehampton and Three Bridges via Horsham and between Horsham and Dorking.
- During the weekday closure from 16 to 20 August a limited train service will run between Crawley and Three Bridges.
- For longer distance train services such as Portsmouth & Southsea or Chichester, that would normally use the Arun Valley line, the services will be diverted via Hove and the Brighton Main Line.

Between Horsham and Dorking (Monday to Saturdays only)

Network Rail are encouraging all customers to make more time for their journeys and to check before they travel on nationalrail.co.uk
Impact on station car parks
Both Arundel and Crawley will act as ‘bus hubs’ – to facilitate the safe operation of rail replacement bus services, the car parks at Arundel and Crawley stations will be closed on all dates when there are track closures.
Customers with a car park season ticket valid for a month or longer at the two affected stations will be able to use an alternative car park on closure dates as follows:
- Arundel station car park season ticket holders can instead park at Pulborough
- Crawley station car park season ticket holders can instead park at Three Bridges
There may be some small changes to operations at other stations, which will be managed locally but no full car park closures are planned.
