Osborne on behalf of Highways England will be returning to resurface the footpath between The Causeway roundabout and Crossbush roundabout. The works will include localised areas of reconstruction.
In order to carry out these works as efficiently and safely as possible, work will be carried out under 6 phases overnight between 8pm and 6am utilising full carriageway closures, narrow lane and lane closures, pedestrian footpath closures and temporary traffic lights between Monday 17 August 2020 to Tuesday 29 September 2020 from 8pm to 6am, weeknights only. Weekends may be considered as a contingency and the works are weather dependent.

Emergency vehicles will always be provided with access through the works.
Access to Station Road will be facilitated throughout the works.
Diversions: Clearly signed vehicular or pedestrian footpath diversions will be in place throughout the works.
Phase 1a: Pedestrian diversion will be via the footpaths to the north and east of the Causeway Roundabout.
Phase 1b: Pedestrian diversion will be via the footpaths on the west and north of the Causeway Roundabout.
Phase 2a & 2b: Pedestrian footpaths closed, diversion into carriageway.
Phase 2b Eastbound Vehicular Diversion: Vehicles travelling eastbound will be diverted off at Fontwell West Roundabout onto the A29, Follow the A29, Nyton Road, Westergate Street, Lidsey Road to Shripney. At the Oldlands Way Roundabout take the second exit onto A29 and continue until the roundabout junction with B2259 Hotham Way. Continue on B2259 until the roundabout junction with A259 and take the third exit on A259 Flansham Lane. Continue on the A259 east to Wick Roundabout. Take the 2nd exit onto the A284 and follow this north to Crossbush Roundabout to re-join the A27 eastbound.
Westbound Vehicular Diversion: Follow the above diversion in reverse.
Phase 3: Vehicular access to properties will not be possible at any time with resident access arrangements made under separate advice to all properties and residents affected. Escort from alternate parking to properties will provided during the night works.
Phase 4: Pedestrian footpath closed, diversion into carriageway.
