A-one+, on behalf of Highways England will be carrying out safety improvement works to address recommendations following the Cycleway schemes completion safety audit. Works will include improvements to the crossing points, relocation of signage, and bollard installation.

In order to carry out these works as efficiently and as safely as possible, work will be carried out from Temple Bar Interchange to Nyton Road under overnight slip road, side road closure and lane 1 closures between 8pm and 6am from Tuesday 19 May 2020 to Friday 22 May 2020 and are weather dependent.

Nyton Road access to and from A27, crossing closure and westbound lane 1 closures from Nyton Road Wednesday 20 May 2020 and Thursday 21 May 2020 8pm to 6am
A27 Westbound exit slip at Temple Bar Interchange Thursday 21 May 2020 8pm to 6am

Diversions – Clearly signed diversions will be in place suitable for all types of vehicles.

Nyton Road Closure from A27 Westbound: Vehicles wishing to turn left into Nyton Road from the A27 will continue on the A27 westbound to Tangmere Roundabout where they should turn around and join the A27 eastbound to Fontwell West Roundabout and take the 3rd exit onto the A29 Fontwell Avenue. Follow the A29 south to join Nyton Road.

Nyton Road Crossing Closure: Vehicles wishing to use the right turn gap for the B2233 Nyton Road should continue east on the A27 carriageway to the Fontwell West Roundabout and take the 3rd exit onto the A29 Fontwell Avenue. Follow the A29 south to join Nyton Road.

Temple Bar Interchange Slip Road Closures: Vehicles wishing to leave the A27 at Temple Bar Interchange should continue on the A27 to the next roundabout where they can turn around and return to the Interchange to exit.

Emergency vehicles will be provided with access through the closures at all times.
