Who Makes a Difference in Your Community?
Every community has people who quietly make life better for everyone else. They give their time, lend a helping hand, organise events, care for neighbours, inspire young people or volunteer behind the scenes – often without expecting any recognition.
The Arundel Community Awards are your chance to say thank you.
Nominations are now open for the 2026 awards, recognising individuals, young people and voluntary groups whose dedication helps make Arundel such a special place to live.
Last year’s awards highlighted the remarkable contribution made by local people across our community. The Community Cup was presented to Gemma Odde for her outstanding commitment to organising the Christmas Day lunch at the Norfolk Centre over many years.
The Voluntary Group Community Commendation was awarded to Elevenses, the popular Monday coffee mornings at Arundel Lido and young volunteer Ellie received the Young Person’s Community Commendation for her enthusiasm and commitment to Girlguiding in Arundel.
Community Recognition Certificates were awarded to Martin and Debbie Chisanga of Arundel Pharmacy; young fundraiser Elliott and environmental champions Isla and Paige, with a special award presented to Angela Standing for her remarkable 20 years of service as Arundel’s Town Crier.

Please tell us:
- the award category (Community Award, Young Person’s Community Commendation or Voluntary Group Community Commendation)
- the name of the person or group you are nominating
- why you are nominating them.
- Please include your own name and address so we can confirm that nominations are submitted by people who live or work in Arundel and your nominees’ contact details so we can contact them about their nomination.

Community Awards presentation, 19 December
Award winners will be announced at a community celebration at the December Arundel Farmers Market, in Tarrant Square at 11am on Saturday 19 December 2026.
