We are inviting nominations for the following three categories:
Community Award – an individual (or a couple) whom you believe has made a sustained and positive contribution to life in Arundel.
Young Person’s Community Commendation – this will be awarded to a young person under the age of 19 for their contribution to the community.
Voluntary Group Community Commendation – this will be awarded to a voluntary group judged to have made the greatest contribution to the community in the last two years.
We will also award up to three Community Recognition certificates which will be presented to people who are nominated but do not receive the Community Award Cup.
You may make more than one nomination for each category. A nomination form is included in the autumn edition of The Bell (distributed to households in Arundel from the end of August), or you can download and complete the Word version of the form below (attaching additional sheets if necessary). You can also e-mail your nominations to townevents@arundeltowncouncil.gov.uk – please give all the information requested on the form.
Eligibility criteria
- Nominations must be made by people living, working or volunteering in Arundel
- Nominees must be for people who volunteer in Arundel
- Contributions must be voluntary and sustained. If a nominee has been nominated for their role in the course of paid employment, the nomination must explain how the nominee has gone above and beyond the duties of their employed role.
- Arundel Town Council Officers and Councillors would only be eligible in the year after their employment/appointment ceased.
- Past recipients of Arundel Community Awards are not normally eligible to receive the award again.
- Past recipients of a Community Recognition certificate are eligible for consideration for the Arundel Community Award, but would not normally be considered for a further Community Recognition certificate unless their contribution was for a significantly different volunteering role or project

Nominations forms should be returned to Arundel Town Council, The Town Hall, Maltravers Street, Arundel, BN18 9AP or collection boxes in Arundel Post Office, Larkins in Tarrant Street and Hillside Stores in Jarvis Road.
The closing date for nominations is 5pm, Monday 27 October 2025.
This year’s awards will be presented at the Tree Lighting ceremony on Friday 5 December at 6pm.
