Proposed Arundel 20 mph zones

As a result of an initiative from the Arundel Town Council Traffic Committee, West Sussex County Council proposes to make a permanent Traffic Regulation Order that will to introduce 20 mph speed limits throughout the town centre and all residential roads (a full list is given below).

The Order also introduces 30mph speed limits on Mill Road, from a point 115m north-east of High Street, north eastwards to a point immediately east of Swanbourne Lodge, and on The Causeway from its junction with the A27 northwards to a point 30m south of Queen Street.

Below is a link to the TRO Team's consultation web page, containing plans showing the new speed limit, the public notice, statement of reasons for proposing the Order, and the draft Order itself.

We encourage any interested Arundel residents or businesses to express their views either in support or to object.

Please comment before 1 February 2018 when the consultation period ends.
