Arundel welcomes you to its historic town which is located within the stunning landscape of the South Downs.  Its narrow streets are dominated by the majestic Arundel Castle and provide an interesting variety of shops, services, restaurants and hotels that are easily accessible by road and rail from London, Brighton and Portsmouth.

Seeped in history, the Borough of Arundel is mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086.  Although on re-organisation in 1974, it became a Town Council many of the earlier customs and ceremonies have been retained and still continue to be practiced by the Mayor, Councillors, Macebearer and Town Crier.

The Town Council currently operates from the Town Hall which was built in 1836 and is a fine neo-Norman example of the many historic buildings in Arundel.  The premise is also the perfect venue for Wedding Ceremonies, Wedding Receptions, Parties, Meetings and Conferences.

Our website is designed to help you find information on the services we, and others, offer within the Town.
