Appropriately described as historic and beautiful, the picturesque town of Arundel benefits from views towards the majestic Arundel castle.
Built in the 11th century and home to the ancestors of the Dukes of Norfolk for over 450 years, Arundel castle is open to the public between 4th April and 1st November 2009.
Open Tuesday to Sundays inclusive, and August Mondays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
High on the hill, the Victorian Gothic Style Cathedral of Our Lady & St Philip Howard, which was designed by Joseph Hansom (designer of the Hansom cab), overlooks the town.

For something different, try taking a boat trip from the Arundel Town Quay up the River Arun to the picturesque village of Amberley, or down river to maritime Littlehampton.
Arundel a gateway town to the new South Downs National Park has two nature reserves, the Arundel Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre and Amberley Wild Brooks.
Arundel is also a great base from which to explore the beautiful South Downs. Nearby towns include Worthing, Chichester, Littlehampton and Bognor Regis.
